I took both a full shot and this close-up and I liked this one better. I thought the silver painted jar lip gave it some interest. I used a tripod and 50 mm prime lens. Other settings: f/9, 1/8 ad ISO 320.

Nice image, sharp and has that nice flow coming up the left side. I like what you have done with the background, was there a light on it? Smooth transition. And good idea with the painted mason jar. Very well done with the sharpness and depth of field. The green background and lighting work very well. I like the composition with the taller flower on the right. The "rules" say that 2 is not a good number of subjects, but 2 works very well here. Painting the jar silver was a great idea. I would not change a thing. Posted: 01/20/2025 21:32:02
