November 2024 - Dead Rose

This was taken a couple of years ago after an early cold snap and snow. The snow had started to melt and refreeze which made crystals around the rose. I used a Nikon camera and lens at 50mm, 1/1000 second, f8 and ISO 200. I like the contrast of the red rose and green leafs and the snow surrounding them. Sorry to remind you that winter is coming.

Very nice photo. Congratulations on seeing the art in this. The diagonal angle of the rose and petals makes a nice composition. I would suggest cloning the dark area in the upper left and brightening the center of the rose a little. Posted: 11/06/2024 16:27:52
