Going back into my archives. In 2007--I shot this image of a blooming barrel cactus in my backyard with my first digital camera, a Panasonic DMC-FZ20. Post-edited using Elements to eliminate distractions. For fun I flipped it horizontally, choosing to enter the original. If there is interest, I’ll post the flipped version.

Lots going on in this image. I found the composition a little off, so cropped a bit from the top and right to give more balance. Punched up the yellows slightly and added a pinch of sharpening. Thoughts? Posted: 09/15/2023 12:29:59
