Captured in 2013 at an arboretum in a neighboring city. Slightly blurred the background, and added some sharpening to the flower. Finally added some targeted dodging and burning to give more dimensionality to the flower. Suggestions?

I am loving the placement of the flower in the frame. the contrasting colors and the linear patterns add interest.   Posted: 09/11/2023 13:42:35

Anything I could do to improve it?   Posted: 09/15/2023 12:00:50

Tom, Adding to Arabella's comments, I find the furry leaves at the bottom right corner distracting. I would blur them to be consistent with the rest of the background.   Posted: 09/30/2023 00:53:44

well, i would either add pigment to that bright part of the pink leaf that is folded, and maybe increase the blur in the background on the right side of the flower.   Posted: 09/15/2023 12:43:41

Miriam, I like what you did with the background and highlights on the flower. Prefer off center placement of the flower per comment by Arabella.
