About the Image(s)

Eiffel Tower, Paris, France. April 2024. I was taking several shots of the Eiffel Tower and the rooftop silhouettes to dial in the exposure and catch the Eiffel Tower’s light beacon in the right position when a room in the apartment building across the way lit up. I continued to take pictures as the lit room was a bonus to the image. Then this man appeared in the window. He lit a cigarette and then went and got a glass of wine. A car must have turned up his street as the glow from the headlights threw some light on him. Everything came together for a brief moment and I captured this image. One of my favorite images. Leica Q3, 1/8th second, f1.7, 28mm, ISO 500. Camera resting on a fence for stability.
