About the Image(s)

A poppy suddenly appeared in my garden this spring. Something a little different this month. Had surgery to stabilize fractured wrist. Now in a splint for four weeks.

Wow! A very sharp and beautiful image in a macro close up mode. I assume that you took this before your surgery?

This is a case where an almost bullseye works perfect.

Hang in there Pam.   Posted: 07/07/2024 13:48:49

Hope your recovery is going well. I've had a couple of broken bones in years past, so I can relate.

I like your image. There's lots of sharp detail. The white lines of the petals push the eye into the bright center. It's an interesting study that people with macro lenses on their DSLRs would be pleased to have.

I agree with Jerry. Wow. The contrast between the beautiful sharp center and soft petals makes the image stand out. I would not change a thing. Lovely.   Posted: 07/11/2024 14:53:20

Great impact and color. I don't know if you used the vignette or not but the effect around the center is perfect.

Sorry to hear about the wrist. Must be driving you crazy coping with the splint.   Posted: 07/15/2024 13:09:26

Recovery is going well. Have been out of the splint since starting OT a week ago.
I'm ready to do more but have to wait till I see ortho next week.   Posted: 07/16/2024 00:21:05

Poppies are fascinating flowers and you did splendid job of capturing close up of this one. Perfection of focus and capture. Hope you get the go ahead from ortho doctor for more use of your wrist.   Posted: 07/16/2024 18:34:33
