To the Ocean by Lynne Royce

September 2023 - To the Ocean

About the Image(s)

This is one of my favorite moments when taking visiting grandchildren to the ocean. We follow the sandy trail and then get our first glimpse of the ocean, hear the crashing waves, cry of the gulls and smell the salty air. Shot with my trusty Samsung Galaxy S21 and edited in Snapseed. I usually run a photo lightly through Snapseed's HDR scape, curves and detail. Lynne

What a gorgeous day, captured perfectly. Your grand daughter's blowing hair and the blowing plants provide even more information about the day and the scene.
This image can help your grand kids remember a special day at a special time in their lives.   Posted: 09/08/2023 16:22:24

This nicely tell the story. I think the small umbrella and the people at the end of the path add to that story. The horizon line could be corrected.   Posted: 09/09/2023 08:15:44

There are a lot of things in this photo that make it a very strong image. The people walking are close to the front part of the scene, with the people on the beach, the water, the clouds, and the birds in the air stand out quite well. The green plants on both sides of the photo make good walls. The colors in the photo are very nice and sharp. The location that was used for the photo was a very good spot. "Another" very nice photo by Lynnes. The story in this image is also very nice. A very good photo, one Lynne could be proud of.   Posted: 09/09/2023 16:37:53

I will agree with Dave. The young people are walking down the main leading line, and they are surrounded by the elements of sand, sea, sky, and vegetation. Nice colors and composition. This shot means a lot to you, of course, since these are your family members. But even without that connection, this is a pleasant beach scene. Nice capture.

Thanks for your analytical critique Bob. Sometimes I'm lucky and everything comes together.   Posted: 09/10/2023 19:57:49

Very nicely composed with the grandkids to the left side of the path so the viewer can see what they are walking toward. The sand being flipped up by the slip slops, the sea grass bending in the wind, gulls in the air and people on the beach all add to this memorable time with family at the ocean. Well done Lynne.   Posted: 09/16/2023 20:20:29
