About the Image(s)
While driving around western New York early in month with family we stopped to see how recent rain had impacted waterfall. Gloriously am glad to say. The minute saw this scene knew it would be my next PSA photo. Took photo in way that cropped close to top of roof to get in as much of exuberant waterfall as possible. Also wanted to capture grass growing along bank and reflected in water. Light editing in Snapseed. Shot with my trusty Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

I really like the colors in your image. The red, blue, and the green are all well-saturated. I get a sense of the sound of the water splashing over the dam. I like the definition in the water coming over the dam. It's a nice capture.
I wonder if you tried the same shot with a longer exposure to make the water flow appear smoother. I don't know if it would have been better or not, it's just an alternative image. There are a couple of long exposure apps available like "Slow Shutter" if you were interested in trying them.

I checked and do have slow motion and super slow motion.I've always wanted to capture beauty of ocean waves crashing on shore and never been successful. Slow motion and super slow motion may be good options for that task. Stay tuned.   Posted: 08/03/2026 22:56:14
Following up on Robert's comment, does your Samsung have a live mode option?
I think a frame on the shot would give a tiny sliver of space above the top of the roof which currently blends into the background.
I very nice shot of a really nice scene.

Don't have live mode option but have slow and super slow motion which going to try on ocean waves.   Posted: 08/03/2026 22:58:25
A beautiful scene that I would love to photograph. It probably wasn't possible, but if you had been able to get lower or down on the stream bank maybe you could have gotten more space above the building. One thing that works when you can't get low is to turn your phone upside down so the lens is at the bottom when you shoot. I have seen that technique done to capture reflections in water puddles. Looking forward to seeing your slow motion waves at the ocean.   Posted: 08/13/2026 23:34:16
Interesting shot with good color of the house and nice curve of the water. Did you try flipping the image? That curve might be stronger coming from the left.   Posted: 08/19/2026 16:06:17
