About the Image(s)
Abandoned railroad bridge
This bridge is now part of a rail trail. I wanted a look that fit the subject at the time of its primary use.
I used a Snapseed preset with no other edits.

Beautiful leading line, I find the halo around the top of the trees distracting...maybe take into photoshop and eliminate them? While there, open up the shadows at bottom left of image that you lost in b&w conversion.   Posted: 12/10/2025 15:15:55
Dick you made an outstanding choice by changing it into black and white. The color version is OK but does not carry the strength describing the old railroad. Bravo! Jerry   Posted: 12/10/2025 15:29:42
I like BW, so that works for me. I like the strong leading lines, too. Nice capture. The distraction for me is that the trees seem to be leaning to the left while the bridge trail is level. Did I misunderstand what's in the image?

You didn't misunderstand. I can't explain the "leaning trees"
It is not an artifact of Snapseed processing as the original image clearly shows. I will look at the trees the next time I get to that part of the trail to see if they really do lean.   Posted: 12/15/2025 20:12:49

Love how groups are turning abandoned railroad bridges and tracks into walking and biking trails. Important use for them. Your black and white photo seems to do a better job of exhibiting the trail. To bad there wasn't a hiker or bike riders using it when you arrived.   Posted: 12/14/2025 21:01:57
The conversion to B&W was a good choice. Those leaning trees are a puzzle.   Posted: 12/18/2025 13:34:56
