Hands - How I Did It by Sol Blechman

November 2025 - Hands - How I Did It

About the Image(s)

This was captured at a wedding and the "I Do" vows had just been spoken. If you look carefully at the top you can see a piece of paper and a hand. That's the judge officiating.

You captured an older couple's hands which tells the story. I think a light frame around the entire image would even make this image stronger. Your outstanding creativity continues to amaze me Sol. Bravo! Jerry   Posted: 11/08/2025 15:33:55

Sorry my earlier comment got lost! I like this image for its story invitation as Jerry said. Those hands are a great illustration of aging that all of us old folks recognize.
Nice job.   Posted: 11/10/2025 16:20:31

This a visual narrative. That is something I try to use in my photos but often fail to do. My only suggestion is to add a vignette to increase the visual focus on the hands. Nice shot.

The photograph of tightly clasped hands speaks volumes. Beautifully conceived and executed.   Posted: 11/11/2025 22:40:15

A very nice intimate photo of a special moment. For me the hands are the whole story so I probably would have eliminated the judges hands or as suggested put a dark vignette on to put all the focus on the hands.   Posted: 11/16/2025 02:14:56
