After 20 years we decided to buy a smaller home in Des Plaines, Illinois. Our front yard was bear and no shade. The city is Des Plaines was giving free trees and installing them between the city street and the public sidewalk. It was wonderful. Then a few year later we found out that there was an ash boars insect that was killing the trees. We quickly checked this out with friends and asked them what are we going to do. They were also concerned. We found the Tree Company and found out that they would for a fee come and drill holes around the tree and insert chemicals to the kill the bad insects and then put a plug to hold the chemicals. One could not even tell that any thing was happening. 25 years later we have thing beautiful ASH Tree. The color of the leaves in the fall are really beautiful. Jerry
