Footsteps In The Snow _ How I Did It by Sol Blechman

July 2025 - Footsteps In The Snow _ How I Did It

About the Image(s)

Last winter I shot my boot steps and since I'm still playing around in SuperImposeX, I added this flower just to liven up the image. It's sort of a curious shot and it makes me wonder what the heck is going on there. I added some touch ups in Snapseed which I see has been revamped. I think I may like the older version better but we'll see.

Like your Footsteps capture. The soft shoe patterns are wonderful. You flower adds a very creative color to the total image. You really got SuperImposeX working for you. I agree the changes in Snapseed by Google is going to take some patience on my part. They have the same tools but they are located in different areas. Rad Drew, a well respected iPhone user and teacher said the same thing you said. I am also having trouble with TouchRetouch which has changed is usage and I cannot even get the new version to work? A really interesting image. Maybe the flower is hope for warmer weather.
I too had trouble with Snapseed. Rad Drew's comments and suggestions should help, but it will take some work to relearn the tool.   Posted: 07/05/2025 13:57:29

In spite of the added flower, I like the imagery of just the footprints in the snow. It's not a stride, they're just side by side, asking why are they there? What's happening? So, I vote for the base photo alone, maybe with some room on all sides. But that's me.

Very interesting image. I think your footprints would stand on their own as a unique perspective on winter and tracks in the snow. I'm not sure what I think about the flower. It adds a splash of color and juxtaposition to winter but it also seems out of place. I do like your imagination in adding the flower.   Posted: 07/14/2025 01:20:36
