I had a chance to visit a tulip farm a few weeks ago. A friend inspired me to get low and shoot up. It was very effect in eliminating distractions in the background.

Great shot. The tulips were fresh and beautiful. Your close up shot was tack sharp and the getting down low was very effective. I waited too long to shoot tulips in my neighbor hood. Timing is everything. I tried shoot in the Chicago Botanic Gardens and they were just coming out of the ground and not ready to get a super shot like yours. Jerry Posted: 05/08/2025 14:30:18
Great capture. Flowers can be difficult to shoot in a new and interesting way, but you found a great angle to isolate the beauty of these tulips. The petals are translucent from this angle; the bright colors and shadows add much to the shot. Good stuff.
