About the Image(s)
This Coal train heading to Wisconsin was stopped and blocking the cars trying to get over the tracks. The town that I live in has over 40 railroad crossings. I have no clue why the train was stopped. After 30 minutes I decided I had to do something. I was blocked by automobiles in front and behind me. I picked up my iPhone and began taking photos of the what was causing this blockade. This image was the result. I used Snapseed to give a little more clarity and color to the image. I left all of the power lines and other things that I would normally eliminate to show the situations.
It was my recording of my Frustration.

I like the way you included the space between the cars so we can see traffic has stopped on the other side of the tracks. I also like that the red warning light is illuminated. I think the power lines look natural, so I agree with leaving them in the shot. The bare trees and the sky provide a feeling of winter weather. I like it.

You had more patience than I would have had; I can see myself turning around. At least you put the frustrating time to good use. I like the composition of the offset cars in front of you and being able to see the vehicles stuck on the other side. I think all of the elements tell a story of rural and sometimes residential America and how the moving of freight can interrupt our lives.   Posted: 05/12/2025 00:02:32
