What appears here as the original is actually just a copy of the finsl image. The orignal seems to have gone missing.   Posted: 12/09/2024 19:54:36

Must have been my error when installing the images into the setup. Sorry Dick.   Posted: 12/12/2024 16:55:20

Actually it was my error. I sent you two copies of the final image. The two images I sent are a tiny bit differences as they were two different edits, but show far less of the area than the original. The original is lost forever I guess. My fault!!   Posted: 12/12/2024 20:37:28

The edited image has been cropped from the original. So the posting looks correct to me. I think some more contrast or adjustment of the black point would help to accentuate the rocks. Great idea for a selfie shadow.   Posted: 12/12/2024 18:44:26

Very interesting selfie!Have you thought about cropping some on the left side? Also, I agree with Pamela that darkening the rocks would enhance the photo and add some nice contrast.   Posted: 12/13/2024 04:37:46

Creative selfie. Using HDR in Snapseed would bring out the interesting detail in rocky background. Is this a walking bridge over a ravine?   Posted: 12/13/2024 15:11:15

Yes. There are several long ramps at Great Falls on the Potomac.
Al of you are right about increasing contrast and detail.   Posted: 12/13/2024 16:32:04

The original, as shown here, has a different format than the more vertical one. I didn't see any reason for that and when playing with the image finally decided it could work if I heavily cropped so that the shadows really became the main element. Here's what I ended with.   Posted: 12/16/2024 12:26:40

I have thought using my shadow could make a great "selfie." I have experimented with it over the years. The addition of the bridge shadow and all the natural features adds good and interesting detail. I wonder if you considered a BW version. I didn't try it, but it might bring focus to the shadows.
