Christmas Decoration by Jerry Hug, APSA

December 2024 - Christmas Decoration

About the Image(s)

Walking around the neighborhood I saw these very expensive decorations. I had to shoot it and only used Snapseed for a little cleanup editing. Hope you are having a great Christmas 2024; Jerry

I guess the arch over the front walk and the invisible roof says the occupants expect Santa to park in front!
There is a very thin "appendage" (actually the power cord) under each deer that would be worth removing.
What mode was your camera in for this very contrasty night shot?
Thanks for your message and best holiday wishes to you.

Your correct, I did not look at the power cords.   Posted: 12/12/2024 16:48:33

All this image needs is snow. Did you use night mode on the phone? Our camera club had a presentation the other night by Greg Disch on taking images of Christmas lights and the post processing. He has a wealth of information on his website that is worth checking out. Merry Christmas   Posted: 12/12/2024 18:40:33

This is such a fun photo to look at! I wonder what you needed to do in editing and "clean it up" as you mentioned?
What did you use in Snapseed? Happy Holidays Jerry!   Posted: 12/13/2024 04:31:40

Now we just need Santa and sleigh on the roof and would reflect a child's Christmas Eve dream. This scene makes night neighborhood walks fun despite the cold weather. Thanks for the Christmas theme photo Jerry. Happy holidays.   Posted: 12/13/2024 15:04:59

This sure tells the story. I wonder where the owners of the home sort all this stuff after the holidays.   Posted: 12/16/2024 12:16:52

A nice Christmas holiday scene. All that's missing is a foot of snow on the ground and rooftop. A bit further to the left and maybe the indoor Christmas tree would have appeared under the arch!

Happy Christmas!
