About the Image(s)
Just returned from a three day trip east of the Cascades looking for fall color near Leavenworth. This is the old pipeline bridge over the Wenatchee River. Called the Penstock Bridge Built in 1907 by the Great Northern Railroad Company to carry water to a Hydroelectric Plant. Only editing was in the iPhone's native editing app and I just hit Auto.

A lovely fall image that evokes the feeling of the old west. I am not sure if reducing the exposure of the slope behind the bridge would help or not, but you might have a look at that.

Thank you for the suggestion Richard. So many decisions in editing.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:17:33

The large boulder works well in balancing the red of the bridge. The "stuff" at the very right is a bit disconcerting. Maybe darken it there or crop on that side?   Posted: 11/09/2024 13:15:55

Thank you Sol. I was as far out as I could get without going into the river. I wish I could have gotten beyond the bushes to take the image.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:19:07

Great fall image. The bridge adds so much to a scene that might have been a more ordinary mountain stream photo. I like the colors and the rocks. My only suggestion might be to try a slow shutter to smooth the water, but then it is pretty calm anyway! Nice shot.

Yes the river was pretty clam where I was standing. I didn't think about using "live" and then selecting long exposure.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:22:03

Pam, you continue to amaze me with your simple editing and making very interesting images while traveling. The Big Rock, The Bridge and The Fall Colors make for a very serious image. Bravo!   Posted: 11/11/2024 20:06:49

This is an excellent Fall image. I agree that a little cropping on the right side might enhance the image even more.   Posted: 11/13/2024 02:14:28

The rusty railroad bridge fits in well with this postcard perfect fall scene. It's a very soothing fall landscape photograph to contemplate. Excellent composition.   Posted: 11/17/2024 21:39:37
