About the Image(s)

I hope you are enjoying the end of summer days there. Here, Spring has officially started, and the weather is quite pleasant. Many birds are now in the bridal season.

For this month’s image, I chose a recent shot of a Osprey flying after an unsuccessful intent of catching a fish. I captured the moment that this bird is revolting itself to reduce the amount of water in its feathers after diving in the sea.

In edition I crop the image and applied some sharpen to the image.

Image data:
1/1250 sec at f 9.0 ISO 800 shot with a Sony camera and a 200-600 mm lens at 312 mm

Maria, your image was caught right at the peak of action. At first I thought you had a filthy Len or sensor but reread your write-up and realized it was water from the osprey. Super! Wish you could see his eye but understandable from his contortions. Great catch!   Posted: 09/13/2023 07:45:43

Amazing capture. I also never saw this action. At first I also thought it was a dirty lens. Well seen. Good job.   Posted: 09/16/2023 19:16:31
