This photo was taken on 7/24/2023. Common Yellowthroat is a very small bird, so in this image, I emphasize the relationship between the bird and the environment. I processed the photo in Lightroom and Photoshop. I darkened the background color to pop up the yellow color of the bird. What do you think? Welcome any comments and suggestions.

Xiao, normally I would say the bird is not cropped close enough but in this case I think it is perfect. You have the leading line of the stem / perch, the perfectly positioned bird with great eyes and the beautiful growth at the end of the branch. Wouldn't change a thing. Posted: 09/13/2023 08:03:09
Hi Xiao, Lovely little bird in a nice environment. Your crop works very well and the darken background helps to stand out the bird. My only suggestion is about the light in the bird, in my opinion it looks a little unnatural comparing with the light in the grass. I would recover some shadow in the legs of the bird to blend better with the rest of the image's light. Posted: 09/13/2023 16:59:53

hat a dynamic composition and flow to the image. The water drops and fanned our grasses adds to the scene. ove the crop and it very good for an extreme crop. The diagonal leads us right bird and then to the flowering grass tips. Whimsical! Posted: 09/30/2023 02:33:54
