I think this is a great charachter portrait with good colors, details and a dark background. I just added a curves adjustement and toned down the highlight on his lip.   Posted: 07/05/2024 19:21:03

A nice touch Art. Curves made it a a bit better and the lip highlight gone is perfect.   Posted: 07/22/2024 03:22:18

Agree with everything said. Thought I'd check on the viability of a monochrome variation.   Posted: 07/09/2024 02:27:50

Indeed a great portrait!!!! we all, as photographers, dream to bring back this kind of authentic portrait from our travel experiences. And here, you were more than successful. Steve Mc Curry could be jealous. Both Color and B&W are outstanding. And special Kudos for getting a sharp image a 1/125 sec . I cannot.   Posted: 07/15/2024 18:26:23

Regine, please don't say you can not. All the friends in this group are indeed excellent photographers. I feel a good image is a product of time space experience and above all luck. If you could meet the subject you would have created a better composition. I am grateful to my friends that they always show me the the better way. Sometimes I do not agree with Art, but I have respect for his dedication and devotion for the betterment of any image. 🙠  Posted: 07/17/2024 03:21:37

I learn from those who have a different view and approach then me. That is what makes this group effective.   Posted: 07/22/2024 02:53:04

Sunandan this is a wonderful photo. I never take enough photos of people. Your photo is so thought provoking, making me wonder what your subject might be thinking and what is making him smile? Both the color and sharpness are perfect. Do you know him? What made him so happy? Great job.   Posted: 07/22/2024 03:18:49
