October 2026 - Ceiling of a mosque
About the Image(s)
The image from October 2026 is a detailed ceiling of a mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. I was caught by the delicate drawings and the richness of the colors. I’m talking about several square feet of surface. The camera was my Leica D-Lux 7; lens Summilux 1:1.7; focal length 12.5 mm; exposure time 1/20; ISO speed 1,600; F number 1/2; no flash. PP Adobe Photoshop

I think this is a lovely architectural aspect and effectively captures the beauty and artistry of the building. I increased the contrast and vibrance a bit and added a vignette. Posted: 10/08/2026 14:16:43
