He is adorable and I like the details and colors. I think that you captured his personality., For me, a tighter corp to draw attention to the shadow. I also filpped him horizontally.   Posted: 03/08/2025 21:56:45

Thank you, Art, Tucker is a real treasure, his personality is very different than our other cocker spaniels; a lot of energy and very loving. I do like the tighter crop better.   Posted: 03/26/2025 14:10:45

To me there are two stars to this show, Tucker and his shadow. I cropped to balance that perception. I also did some burning of the shadow and the cushion to Tucker's left. I reduced the shadows just a little under his chin. Who couldn't love that face?   Posted: 03/13/2025 09:53:17

I like your crop. Maybe even more from the right side.   Posted: 03/17/2025 08:46:18

Kurtis, I like how you cropped in closer and only show Tucker's head and his shadow. I makes his big, beautiful eyes stand out even more! Thank you!!   Posted: 03/26/2025 14:15:34

Great picture Sylvia! I like your crop, I find it very well balanced, I like the geometric pieces of the coach framing Tucker. A very dynamic portrait. I agree with Art about flipping the image horizontally.
I don't know if it is my screen but I find the subject a little bit over sharpened or too much clarity or texture in the post processing. But I might be wrong. Hope to see another portrait of Tucker growing up in the future.   Posted: 03/20/2025 03:32:39

Regine, thank you for sharing your thoughts! I also think the design of the sofa adds to the overall picture along with the sun light and shadows. I feel like this is a photo that can be successfully edited two ways - as the original and also as a portrait. I'm sure more pictures will be coming.   Posted: 03/26/2025 14:23:08

Sylvia he's a real cutie. My first dog was a Cocker Spaniel. Taffy was all tan and very cuddly too. I am leaning towards Arts cropped and flipped photo but I love you taking the time to get the lighting just right to have his shadow behind him. I also hope to see Tucker again and again.
