About the Image(s)

Image made with the R5 paired with the Canon 100-400mm 4.5-5.6L @
400mm, Manual mode, 1.1250 sec., f/5.6, and ISO 640. I went out to get a
Waxwing in flight and came back with this image. Skies were foggy and dull
mid-day. Didn't think I'd been successful until I got my images on the
computer. Cropped with lots of dodging and burning. Processed in Lightroom
Classic, Topaz Photo AI for denoise and sharpening and color adjusted mostly
in Topaz Studio 2. Image taken at a Holly tree full of ripe berries. As many
Blue Birds as Waxwings.

I think that you did a fantastic job of bringing life, color and vitality to this image. I took it in a slightly different direction (flipping it), cropping and expanding the canvas and using selective color to brighten the colors and lighten the sky.   Posted: 01/07/2025 03:45:24

Kurtis I can't believe how you "saved " this photo. I would have tossed it for sure. How you did what you did is fantastic. I love seeing the bluebirds and the waxwings together. Looks like there are very few berries left. Well done.   Posted: 01/20/2025 02:39:06
