About the Image(s)

I choose to share this picture taken in 2016 on my 1 st trip in Iceland.
I have never been satisfied with my post processing. The color of the sky seems too dark on the top of the mountain. Something seems wrong/ unnatural in this capture.
When I took this picture I was using a tripod and a circular Neutral Density filter on my wide lens. I wanted to smooth the water. I was novice using this filter and felt I didn’t use it right.
I processed this picture using only LrC, using masks ( sky, brushes and luminance range)
I hope our group is going to be interested in improving this picture . Thank you all in advance .

Camera settings:
Canon EOS 5D Mark III -Lens Canon 16-35mm- ISO 200 F/14 1.3 sec - 22mm- Tripod and circular Neutral density filter

I think that this is well seen landscape. I added some clouds, used curves, hue/saturation, dodging and burning to correct colors. I used masks to work on selected areas.   Posted: 11/10/2024 05:15:25

Regine, I think you did a great job taking this picture. I agree that the blue water and sky distract from the land. Art did a nice job darkening and lighting parts to balance to the colors in your composition.   Posted: 11/19/2024 14:31:08

Hi Regine, you created a very interesting photo with the waterfalls and that sharp pointed mountain and I think you did a good job correcting the sky. The only area left to "fix" would be the lighter area on the right but I don't know how to do that. Art to the rescue again. I think he did a great job and the coloring of the entire scene looks good. I still have to much to learn with editing.   Posted: 11/25/2024 00:06:04
