About the Image(s)
North Point Lighthouse
I took a trip up to Lake Michigan along the Wisconsin side this summer. One of the very attractive light houses that I photographed is this one. It is in the North part of Milwaukee in a mostly residential area. I drove up the coast in the morning, and took photographs from the back side that was in the sun. While I liked that view, I was limited in how far back I could get and so it had more of a wide angle effect. Also, the front side is more photogenic. So, on my way down the coast in the afternoon, I took the time to again stop by this lighthouse. There were some showers in the area so I waited until the sun had come out to take this photo. There are some trees in front of the lighthouse, but I was able to use what is considered a "normal" focal length. I used my Olympus (OM Systems) camera and 12-45mm lens at 24mm (48mm for 50mm equivalent), f8, 1/500th second, and ISO 200.

Would you consider making the blue of the sky a bit darker, the way it often is when using infrared photography?   Posted: 10/04/2026 13:37:18
