About the Image(s)
Old Time Fiddler
This was taken at Fort de Chartres in Illinois a couple of years ago during their annual reenactment event. I liked the fiddler, but thought that the shirt was a distraction, so I converted to mono. I used NIK Silver Efex and the Antique Plate II. This was taken with my Olympus camera and 14-150mm lens at 100mm, 1/250th sec, f8, ISO 400.

Every touch is well done here. I like that the gentleman's eyes are seen above his glasses frames.   Posted: 04/03/2026 20:37:53
Lovely, rendition, the sepia goes well to give it an 'Old world charm   Posted: 04/03/2026 23:36:55
I agree that the shirt is totally wrong! I also wish people could manage without modern glasses! I like the expression on his face and that he's not actually looking at you so it becomes a candid shot.
I agree that the soft sepia is a good choice.   Posted: 04/06/2026 20:22:36

This is a really fun image. I agree that the glasses isn't a good fit but I don't mind the shirt.   Posted: 04/07/2026 03:44:54
