About the Image(s)
This young lady was performing (competing) in the County Fair for her 4H (Horses Only) Club. I captured several nice shots of her horse starting his/her jump, and showed them around. Someone said that it would be more meaningful to show her over the bar successfully. I’ve exhibited the two, “Up” and “Over” successfully locally. I like her facial features: sharp and showing confidence in her mount to perform. Converted using the Kelby Levels/Channels tools and then a touch up with Contrast and a lot of cropping. Canon L at 200 mm.

Nice job what you did with the background. It would have been distracting to use the actual background.
My daughter and her daughter both ride like this. Your subject has good form, and is looking 30 feet ahead, just right.   Posted: 12/08/2024 23:02:19

It was a white horse without much coloration, therefore not much detail. But it was a white horse.   Posted: 12/09/2024 13:43:45

You captured the rider at a good point. You did an amazing job of sharping the horse and rider, and also having detail in the white horse. Fixing the background helped the image. You did a good job of converting to mono. Since both the rider and the horse were black and white, converting to monochrome was a natural choice. I would not change a thing.   Posted: 12/10/2024 16:04:22
