About the Image(s)
I was going back through some of my older images, seeing if the new software tools could help them. I took this dancer several years ago at the State Fair with slide film, that had been scanned. I really liked the wind blown look and the blank blue sky background. But he was not as sharp as I liked, so I used Topaz Photo AI on him. It really sharped him. Then I used NIK Silver Efex and an antique preset to make the image look like an old photo. I am showing the original scanned image, the color image after Photo AI, and then the monochrome image.

Another great shot from Tom.
The Antique pre-set in Nik Silver is a fun tool and you used it well.

This is a perfect pose, Tom. Although the colors in the original are interesting, your switch to monochrome brings all the attention to the dancer's intense facial expression. Since you have only the top of him, I think you chose well to vignette him. I can't see anything to improve.   Posted: 12/10/2024 00:10:08

Tom, love the monochrome render of the image. It looks like a "historic" picture. Great job!   Posted: 12/15/2024 06:55:49
