Sydney at Twilight by Ian Cambourne

October 2026 - Sydney at Twilight

About the Image(s)

This image was taken from the same location as my first image for this group a few months ago. While that image was taken mid afternoon and was a single shot, this was taken on a different day, at twilight and is a five image stitch. The overall angle of view covers approx 150 degrees. Images were taken on a Nikon D810 with a 35mm lens length, in portrait format. Aperture Priority at F5.6; shutter speeds varied from 5 seconds for the left side image, to 2.5 seconds for the right side image. The 3 centre images varied at 2.5 and 3 seconds. Processed in LR and PS, converted to B&W in NIK. And yes, the colour image is very good.

Hi Ian: We must be on the same wavelength this month. I love your city scape of Sydney. Great leading line with the streaks from the highway leading right into the city. Your image is tack sharp for your blended image. Taking long exposure images sometimes requires taking two or even three identical shots with different exposure & blend in post to compensate for with the dark foreground or sky. You did a great job with this. I'd love to see the color version as well.   Posted: 10/09/2026 21:02:11
