About the Image(s)
This image is a composite of images in my files, no AI. I edited the images in LR and layered the individual images in PS. I then used DXO silver effects to convert the image to B&W. I welcome feedback. I darkened the snow in the foreground so that the white of the cranes was the brightest area of the image after applying SE. I plan on printing this as a long panel. Susan

A very good composite Susan, but sadly, it's only appearing as a small image on my screen, so I can't see much of the detail. However, compositionally it is quite strong with all the elements in their right places. The overall effect of this one is quite ethereal, particularly with the way the cranes seem to glow. Thank you both for the feedback. I am never sure at what resolution to submit my images. Would welcome suggestions. I believe mine are sent with 72 dpi.
I have been thinking about this image for a long time and one of the reasons I went to Japan in Jan 26 was to see the cranes. Most others in my group wanted snow monkeys but not me. I plan on doing 2 additional images in my series. At least one more with cranes and will print them as panels (like Japanese art). Susan Posted: 08/09/2026 20:22:07

Susan, Your file is very small - 215x320 pixels and 28kb
For example, mine is 824x1050 pixels and 814kb.
The max is 1mb. 72 dpi is irrelevant, it is the pixel dimensions which are important.
If you wish you can submit a larger file and I will post it.

HI Susan: A very creative image of dancing cranes. Again, it is very small with detail being hard to see. The two large objects on the left are much larger than the cranes, which, to my eye distract from your subject. Perhaps if those objects were there but with decreased opacity might be something to consider? Posted: 08/15/2026 10:50:32
