We visited Laskeys Farm in mid July a 15 minute stroll from our house it was Cheshire open garden month local gardens open to the public and entry is by paying a small fee all of which goes to local charities, the gardens at the farm are stunning we walked into the grass garden and I was immediately taken by this stone head in the tall grass section it was fabulous and could not resist trying to capture it,the farmers wife told me it had been part of a display garden at the prestigious South[port flower show in 2024 and she managed to buy it off the garden creator the day after the show had finished,I asked if I could come back on a windy day and take a long exposure shot of it so I could capture with movement in the grass around it she told me I could so watch this space.
How I did it

Very interesting composition. The image has good contrst between foreground and background with the foreground being noticeably sharper. The shadows on the mask give the image a 3 D look. Well done. Susan   Posted: 08/09/2026 20:13:08
