About the Image(s)
Sunday the 28th June saw the annual Lymm historic transport day as always a fabulous day filled with all forms of historic transport these are 2 of about 15 steam traction engines that attended on the day around 50 narrow boats on the canal that runs through the middle of the village around 8 were steam barges the earliest from 1915,and a cavalcade of motor cycles, cars and wagons from all decades, all the wheeled vehicles parade through the village at 1030 it took nearly an hour for everything to pass before they park up on the May field on the edge of the village for everyone to have a close look at.
The traction engine on the left was built by W.Foster of Lincolnshire and was used for agricultural purposes,on the right is a Foden steam wagon and was built in 1925 and was the heavy goods vehicle of its day.
I have posted an image of the parade on the Group 04 page.
How I did it
Canon EOS 5D Mk III lens Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM f9,1/160s, ISO 150 focal length 40mm Raw file adjusted in photoshop, cropped all round and opened up the shadows, and brought down the highlights converted to mono using an adjustment layer sharpened with a high pass filter and added a 2 stroke border.
