Image made November 26th 2025 when looking for images for the Nature Group at Tynemouth PS.
Sony HX90V ISO 500 21mm (35mm 122mm) 1/125 f5.6
This tree is in a small wood not far from home.
I thought that it could work in black and white.
So here it is.
Processed in Affinity Photo 2 and Nik 7 Silver Efex

The image does not speak to me. The center is bright but there is no focal point. I would suggest darkening the top of the image (esp on the edges) as my eyes are drawn upward and then not down again. The image has good variation in range of color. Susan Posted: 04/12/2026 17:47:38

Hi John: I think you could call this one Sun Dial. Looking carefully at your image I saw the cast shadow & to my eye it looks like a sundial. Nice textures & circular shape which reminded me of a clock. Very well seen again. Posted: 04/14/2026 16:27:27
