About the Image(s)

Last Saturday saw me make my first visit to Manchester City centre,I was invited by Magaly Flores Director of Colibri Dance to photograph their celebration of Dia de Muertos (Day of the dead) at Manchester Central library.
I arrived early so I took the opportunity have a look around around the area,I was attracted towards a collection of large buildings so following the tram tracks I headed towards them when I got to the old Manchester central station the pavement was blocked by railings as the track went over an old bridge I was able to get my lens through the railings and get this image unfortunately the sky was very overcast with no detail, in fact it rained heavily as I walked back to the Library.

How I did it


Canon EOS 5D Mk III lens Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM f5.6,160s, ISO 200 focal length 24mm Raw file adjusted in photoshop cropped all round, local dodging and burning, and sharpened using a high pass filter and a 2 px stroke added.
