It is another image from Hokkaido, Japan. It was taken with my Sony AR 5 camera with at 70-200 F least at 137 mm. It was processed in LR and converted to B&W in Silver Effects. The structures are used for avalanche protection and I thought it made an interesting abstract image. The hills were filled with these barriers and it was hard to isolate the structures to keep them within the screen. Seeing it on the screen, I wonder if I should have added a 3 pixel frame around the image in blac

Hi Susan: My initial impression was of park benches in the snow. I did not realize these are avalanche deterrents. Interesting shapes and textures that kept my eyes busy for a long time. Well seen. Posted: 05/11/2025 22:15:13
