About the Image(s)
March 1st brings some surprises. I recently visited Scottsdale, Arizona with a friend for lunch. We parked in an underground facility close to the restaurant and suddenly saw this month’s image unfold before our eyes. We waited for some unsuspecting person to walk down the stairs but that never happened.
This trip to Scottsdale had combined objectives. One to practice with my new camera. The other was to have some fun and eat lunch out with my friend. Settings included: FF camera, Shutter 1/160, F 10, ISO 5,000. Post camera processing included, straightening, sharpening, adding a 3 pix stroke and called it one. Something very different for this month.

Let's also mention that this building, albeit a mere garage, is built in the Brutalist style, which is much denigrated these days, but I have always admired. Here in Washington, DC, the many Brutalist buildings are now disliked. But as tastes change, there may come a day when they are again admired, as long as they are not all torn down first.   Posted: 03/03/2025 22:13:30
I agree with Stephen regarding the inclusion of a person in the first window - it would have detracted from the pure graphical impact of the image. I do like the subtle detail on the RHS of the mage.   Posted: 03/14/2025 06:57:27
You did a great job with a difficult subject.
I like the way the shadow detail emerges as one moves to the right.   Posted: 03/15/2025 04:38:57

You never disappoint us with your stunning images. It is interesting what you can see in the a mundane setting. Light makes the difference. I agree that people would not have added to the image. It is very strong image. Cant wait for April's posting. Susan   Posted: 03/30/2025 06:47:03
