About the Image(s)
This month's image is one of the few I captured in a recent trip to Morocco. It was taken in Marrakech just outside the city’s wall. I took down some of the glare on the hanging speres in LR and then processed it in PS. Converted to B&W in Nick silver Effects. The image was captures with my APS sony mirrorless camera A6700

Hi Susan! What a neat little shop, kind of makes you want to go in and just wander around. I think those doors make a great natural frame, drawing your eyes into the shop and creating a sense of depth.
The texture on the exterior walls and road are also part of the story and in this case, I think they could use a little more contrast to add dimension and interest to the foreground. Just my opinion, it's already a great shot as is.
PS: Every time I see something about Marrakesh, I can't help thinking about that great song by Crosby, Stills and Nash!   Posted: 12/09/2024 19:01:55

Susan - I tend to echo Michael's comments and suggestions and would add one factor which struck me, namely the contrast between the round shapes of the pots and the rectangular shapes of the doors. I find that very pleasing.

Hi Susan: I love your image! I bet it is special in color as well. What an interesting place to wander around with all the different shapes, sizes of things, colors, etc. The tree stump holding the door open on the right-hand side adds to your image as well and helps tell the story. You've got a great eye.   Posted: 12/10/2024 17:33:08

Elle and group,
Thank you all for your feedback. I will work on more texture to the walls later today.
Also I took the comments from last months post and using AI generated a few pine trees around the mission and put a wreath over the door. It made a great holiday image that I sent to friends and family. Susan   Posted: 12/20/2024 16:32:58

Hi Susan
great spot and I think the colour image would do really well in a photo travel comp, but as can be seen it also works so well in mono,I love the way the doors frame the shop front and wonderful textures in all the surrounding surfaces and cropped to perfection.   Posted: 12/18/2024 17:09:13
