About the Image(s)
Taken a few years ago in Utah, while on a PSA Conference tour, using Nikon gear. Did my usual basic corrections in LR: adjust white/ black, exposure and contrast to my liking. Today I did take it into Topaz and used the Denoise feature there, which I prefer to the one in LR. Original included.

I like the photo but I think it would work better in monochrome.   Posted: 10/02/2026 13:46:22
I prefer the black and white one.   Posted: 10/03/2026 14:17:59
Thanks again, Mark. I appreciate your suggestion.   Posted: 10/03/2026 16:26:46
I prefer the color one but I am always more attracted to color. I like the composition but I find my eye drawn first to the orange and next to the rusty wheel. Not sure that is where you want my eye drawn first.   Posted: 10/06/2026 01:10:36
Good point. Our eyes are drawn to the lighter, brighter parts of an image. I think the warm yellows and oranges are part of what I enjoy about this image, but in retrospect I probably should tone them down and brighten the gear more. I will work on that, so thank you for your comment.   Posted: 10/06/2026 16:14:39
I like color, but if you will make background more blur could be better   Posted: 10/06/2026 18:28:38
