A Temple in the City by Walter Ho

July 2026 - A Temple in the City

About the Image(s)

This is an image taken during a photo walk in the city. The details are F4, 1/25 and ISO 3200.
There is a contrast in architecture between the modern high rise buildings in the background and the vicinity of the temple.
The temple is highly lighted-up to show the magnificent of the architecture.

I like the shot but I find the pole in the bottom center distracting and would recommend removing it.   Posted: 07/02/2026 13:39:45

I like the contrast between the old and new architecture. I find the bottom orange of the building slightly too bright. I think if it were slightly darker, my eye would be drawn to the more interesting detail of the rest of the building first.   Posted: 07/03/2026 00:25:48

Beautiful building and interesting juxtaposition between traditional and modern architecture. I do agree with the other comments. Also, I feel like there is a little distortion from the camera lens, that possibly could be corrected.   Posted: 07/03/2026 16:44:01
