About the Image(s)
This months photo is of a small ( about ? of an inch long ) Blanchard’s Cricket Frog that was found on a local woodland trail. The image was shot hand held with my R6, EF100-400 zoom fitted with a 1.4 converter making it 560mm. The exposure and iso were 1/1250s and 1,250, which for the subject were really too high. I had been photographing fast beetles on the trail when I saw this frog. Post was with affinity photo.

This is nice, good focus on the subject with background blur.   Posted: 04/02/2026 11:56:58
Thanks, in general I tend to like a lot of environment, but that's not always the best thing for my images. I like what Dorinda did. Thsnks   Posted: 04/08/2026 22:06:17
Like I was say to Mark, I tend to lean towards to much background. I like your edit   Posted: 04/08/2026 22:08:14
I like the focus on the frog with the blur but wonder of you can make its eye more in focus. Cool frog with all that texture.   Posted: 04/03/2026 01:38:51
Hey Ellen. Could do some targeted sharpening on the eye. The frog is pretty cool, I practically love the green stripe on its back and head.   Posted: 04/08/2026 22:12:12
Very interesting frog I agree with putting focus on frog I might defocus most of the twig on the left and increase focus on the eye as Ellen recommends

Good point about blurring the focus on the stick.   Posted: 04/09/2026 12:56:20
The subject is indeed on focus   Posted: 04/11/2026 13:28:57
I will increase focus on the frog eyes, but otherwise ok.   Posted: 04/11/2026 17:34:23
