About the Image(s)
This is another attempt at a dutch angle shot, with the model standing instead of kneeling. I took this image this past month at Lighthouse Point Park in Ponce Inlet Florida and it was shot around 7:30 am using only available light. Technical aspects are as follows; iso 100, f2.8, 1/400, 135mm. Adjustments were done in Photoshop Elements and Portrait Pro.

Hmmm. I don't think this one works as well as the one you previously shared. In your other "Dutch angle" shot, the model was in a vertical position, but the background was at an angle. Here, the model tilts to the left, even if I place the horizon on level. Possibly, I'm missing the point?   Posted: 07/06/2025 01:34:40
The model is well focused. It is better to remove the black line cutting behind the head in the background.   Posted: 07/06/2025 14:57:26
I was not familiar with the term "Dutch angle shot" so I looked it up. I found this article: https://www.studiobinder.com/blog/dutch-angle-shot-camera-movement/
In film, at least, it is often used to convey unease, tension, or disorientation. That does not seem to be the case in your image, but the camera tilt does add a little pizazz. I think it works, although the lines of the water and the background land are a bit far apart vertically for my taste. Also, I wish the bottom line of the water was a little farther up in the frame.
I think you could brighten up your model, the main subject, a bit. I don't know if you can do masks with PS Elements but that would make it easy, or just increase the shadows slider a bit.   Posted: 07/09/2025 06:23:58

Thanks for the link.   Posted: 07/16/2025 17:42:59
I don't know if the picture should be straightened? I will avoid the horizontal line crossing the head or neck of models.   Posted: 07/10/2025 06:24:27
The place by itself is also horizontal as a figure. Remove black line.   Posted: 07/10/2025 16:53:51
Nice image, I like the concept and the energy of the dutch angle. I need to read Patrick's linked article. I too feel that the subject could benefit from being a little brighter. in the attach image I applied a curves adjustment to bring up the mid-tones and mask to her. Also removed the strands of hair from her right arm ( I found myself trying to wipe my cat's fur off my screen LOL )   Posted: 07/16/2025 17:55:38
