While traveling in Spain, we had the occasion to see many beautiful cathedrals and churches. I happened to wander to the back courtyard of a church, and caught this presentation of light and shapes. I'd be interested in what the group thinks in regards to whether it should be cropped; it won't fit in a 16x20" frame because it is too high but so was the cathedral. I see this as an illustration for the practical realities that exist behind every church.

Wow, lots of texture, shades and lines.
Hum. What about an 11x14 crop? It might accentuate the triangular roof lines. Just a thought.
Great capture. Always a challenge.   Posted: 07/08/2024 11:29:31

An interesting set of brick textures in this image, the strong side lighting adds to the textures without creating dark shadows hiding the detail. I feel that it needs some cropping at the top and would probably go a little lower than Becca.   Posted: 07/11/2024 09:32:54
