While traveling in Spain, we had the occasion to see many beautiful cathedrals and churches. I happened to wander to the back courtyard of a church, and caught this presentation of light and shapes. I'd be interested in what the group thinks in regards to whether it should be cropped; it won't fit in a 16x20" frame because it is too high but so was the cathedral. I see this as an illustration for the practical realities that exist behind every church.

Thanks, good idea. I like this. Lauren   Posted: 07/08/2024 17:26:24
An interesting set of brick textures in this image, the strong side lighting adds to the textures without creating dark shadows hiding the detail. I feel that it needs some cropping at the top and would probably go a little lower than Becca.   Posted: 07/11/2024 14:32:54
I agree with Becca, that's how I would crop the image too.   Posted: 07/15/2024 17:38:03
Interesting image, normally not noticed by most people. I do like the cropping and I think some additional contrast/clarity/texture in the mid-tones would help. You could also use a luminosity mask to protect the highlights which are a little bright up top.   Posted: 07/24/2024 17:26:19
