About the Image(s)
"Cars and Silos" was taken in Endicott, Washington, a small town in the Palouse country. ISO 200, 14mm, f20, 1/60 sec. In Lightroom I removed some dust spots, brightened it a bit and cropped. I was very happy with the leading lines of the building and clouds to the silos, which tells the story of wheat country and old time small town.

Awesome old cars in front of the silos makes more of a complete photo. I also like the reflection of the red car in the window, very cool. A couple little things, perhaps saturate and texture the red so it stands out a little more. Second, you are cropped really tight on the left, perhaps remove part of the bumper to give you a little room.   Posted: 09/18/2023 11:12:01
I like it better, this one can be pushed a little and the red gives it more impact.   Posted: 09/18/2023 11:47:33
Oo, not sure what happened in redo but on my screen the bumper area looks really overly edited into a highly bright area.
Like the composition and the pop of red. Very nice.   Posted: 09/18/2023 12:39:07

Yes, I don't know why that is highlighted too. Strange, but thanks for pointing it out.   Posted: 09/18/2023 14:58:23
I like the way that the buildings and silos create a good background to the two vehicles, which look as if they have just been abandoned there. To me the red truck is a little tight on the right hand side. It would not have been very difficult to add a strip of brickwork and grass to increase the spacing. I also feel that some extra punch could be added to the touch to make it stand out more.   Posted: 09/20/2023 09:48:53
Hi Jon, I did exactly what you suggested. See the discussion above, and I also made the mistake somehow of getting the brick highlighted. I have corrected that too. Thanks to the group for all the feedback!   Posted: 09/20/2023 11:08:54
