About the Image(s)
At the county fair this summer, I decided to try to capture some of the rides at night using a slow shutter speed. I really like the way many of them turned out. I was shooting on shutter priority. This Ferris wheel was shot at a 15th of a second. I love how the lights are sharp, but you can still sense the motion.

I really like the motion and colors, very effective for this subject. Possibly add a very slim border so it separates from the black layout of the site. Maybe next time shoot during blue hour so the background doesn't go totally black.   Posted: 09/18/2023 11:09:22
I LOVE shooting fair lights at night. There are just so many fun images. I've even tried in camera motion which give a whole different photo.
This is quite nice. I like how the eye is drawn from the bottom left to the center of the wheel and then "fireworks".
Nice. I like the black sky. Having shot similar fair lights, shots during blue hour add too much distraction.   Posted: 09/18/2023 12:33:37

Excellent colours and motion, I would prefer it with a little light in the sky rather than it just being black. I suggest that a narrow key line would improve the image by creating an edge to it.   Posted: 09/20/2023 09:41:59
I am a bit confused by this image: the wheel shows nice, soft movement. But the out of focus buildings (?) do not seem to go with the moving wheel. Maybe, it is were possible to to shoot from a different position, where the buildings were less prevalent, that confusion would not arise. But I like the idea of experimenting with slow shutter speeds.   Posted: 09/27/2023 13:29:00
