Our area in Washington state has been very wet, and mushrooms are sprouting in my garden. These are very pretty but extremely poisonous. F5.0, Iso 3200, (it was dark under a tree), 90 mm, 1/200.

Great image Lauren. Image has excellent visual impact and interest. It also has super color, sharpness and definition. The round mushroom and white object bothered me so I hope you don't mind that I took the liberty and removed them. I think the image now has no distractions, an odd number of mushrooms and is much stronger. What do you think? Posted: 12/13/2025 00:45:54
I thought the round one was an interest because of the way that they grow - they come out round then the caps turn red.

A well seen grouping of the fungi, the red colours really make them stand out. there are a couple minor adjustments I would suggest tone down the very bright head leaf I the foreground slightly and there is little light area at the very top right corner which once see could be a distraction.
