About the Image(s)
ISO64, f16, 20sec, shot at 92mm with Nikon 70-200mm on a Nikon D850.
Canada Day is July 1st and Fireworks are done on June 30th at 11 pm. I
live in Northern Alberta where the sun sets at around 10:30 pm, at
this time of the year, but the sky still isn't dark enough for a good
Fireworks shot.
Post-Processing:
Darkened the twilight sky in Lightroom to enhance firework contrast
Cropped to portrait orientation, emphasizing the fireworks’ vertical grandeur
Balanced highlight brilliance with the river’s reflections for symmetry

A really nice job on creating an interesting image from the original post. Everything works well, the reflection, darker sky, and the composition. Maybe clone out the cars driving by to remove some distractions.   Posted: 07/16/2025 16:20:13
Your cropping has created a much more interesting image, I like the darker sky but I aam not sure about the change of tone.   Posted: 07/26/2025 06:48:50
Love the portrait rather than the landscape. Nice water reflection. Looks like no blow out in the fireworks, nice job there. I'm ok with the cars but the light teepee looking structure is distracting.
Fireworks are rather challenging to capture and I think you did it very well.   Posted: 07/26/2025 22:59:12
