About the Image(s)
This is a photo of Effie, a Navajo weaver that lives in a hogan in Canyon de Chelley. She lived there with her mother, who passed at the age of 103. She shears, washes, cards, spins and dyes (from plants) her own wool to weave rugs. She said it took 2-3 months to make 6" of a rug on her loom. The rugs about the size of a bathmat sell for $1500. each.
Inside the hogan the lighting was variable, but I caught this shot when the door was open and the light on her. I think she is beautiful! ISO 1600, 21 mm, f5.6 1/15 sec. I'm not into portraits, so any feedback is helpful. This was processed in Lightroom.
