About the Image(s)

Still working on photos from our cruise last March. This was shot at the Keukenhof gardens and this pretty one was on the side of a tree. This needed some work including Topaz Sharpen since it was shot at 1/40th a second. Then a nice crop in LR with the basic adjustments and a little cleanup in PS.

Having visited Keukenhof twice, I balked at the word "random"! Everything there is so planned into patterns. This looks like cherry blossoms coming out of the tree. I would suggest that you lighten the dark concave streak behind the flower a bit to increase the texture of the moss in there.   Posted: 03/12/2025 14:42:16

I like your cropping to get rid of items either side of the tree trunk. To me you needed a smaller aperture to keep more of the flowers sharp. I agree with Lauren about lightening up the dark area behind the flowers.   Posted: 03/13/2025 09:36:25

A very effective crop. I like the way you processed the image and would not change anything.   Posted: 03/13/2025 19:08:54

Pretty. I, of course, would have cropped it even further getting rid of the stuff on the right and bottom making the open flower at the "third" mark. That said, it might have to be upscaled, sharpened or whatever.
Fun going through previous photos and reliving.

I like the flowers and this is an extremely effective crop, it strengthens the composition by eliminating distractions and focusing attention exactly where it should be.   Posted: 03/27/2025 23:40:48
