About the Image(s)
Captured with a Tamron 15-30mm ultra-wide angle lens at 17mm. In my
opinion, monochromatic conversion creates an eerie winter atmosphere.
The foreground rock, shot from a close distance and with the lens
tilted towards the ground a bit, to create a perspective between the
rock and the distant tree. Post-processed in Lightroom to enhance the
contrast and depth. Shot at ISO 800, f9, 1/800 Sec.

To me the foreground rock dominates this image and draws attention away from the tree in the distance. I feel that cropping to create a square image of the centre area would be much more effective.   Posted: 12/12/2024 11:56:37

Not sure I would have know that there was snow on the rock without the title. I wonder if it's the snow or the rock that is the subject of this photo.
I might wanted to look at this closer up or even a macro of the rock with snow in the crevasses.
The tree by itself is lovely against the beautiful sky. I like the black and white.   Posted: 12/12/2024 23:19:28

Massive rock, indeed. Nice clouds on the tree in the background, which makes the scene more dramatic. I agree with Becca, the snow is third in my mind and not the subject of the photo.   Posted: 12/18/2024 18:46:42

I suggest cropping this to a square image as the rock in the foreground takes the attention away from the rest of the image,   Posted: 12/21/2024 18:40:15
