About the Image(s)

This image is my attempt at candid street photography. Shot in Bali
from my taxi’s window at a traffic light, I acted quickly to capture
the scene. For editing, I cropped the image to reduce some background
distractions and adjusted the exposure and contrast. I used a Tamron
24-70mm lens on a Nikon D850 at 48mm, ISO 800, f/2.8, and 1/40s.

Your coping removed some of the distractions.
Now this is one I'd crop even closer and into portrait mode. Again, personal preference.
Great capture either way cropped especially from a stopped taxi!   Posted: 11/15/2024 16:48:22

A good candid portrait of the man. I would have cropped out much to the background, but not as much as Becca. I would also have darken down the background, particularly the two circular objects to the right of his face.   Posted: 11/18/2024 13:27:24

Well some different options, being a street candid portrait, I think the background elements are important to see them in their environment. Maybe remove the white bag, kind of grabs your eye. Overall a nice shot, looks less candid with him giving you a nice pose and smile.   Posted: 11/18/2024 15:22:13

What they said. I really like this portrait, and I think less crop than Becca; but it is always personal preference of the maker. Bali I think of as a busy place in a street market, and I like the context of the bags. Good job grabbing this from a taxi window, and amazing that his glasses are clear!   Posted: 11/19/2024 19:54:04
